This is from the New York Post, also not the most respectable outlet in my book, but it contains the video with (allegedly) Rittenhouse's voice: https://nypost.com/2021/08/20/kyle-rittenhouse-dreamed-about-shooting-people-days-before-kenosha-video/ ... I do not know how this was obtained and could not find more about that piece. I know the prosecution tried to introduce it as evidence. If it is true, it speaks to intent (which is relevant IMHO). ... Overall, why would be encouraging kids like this to go out into public spaces with rifles?

The WS aspect of this is that the whole mentality of "white fright" and rage has been the historical excuse for violence and even murder of POC over centuries. That is not what happened in this case in the end, but I am speakng of context. I appreciate that you are trying to think more deeply here and I understand that. But in order to reallly understand, I believe you and I and all of us must listen more deeply to Black people and other POC and not respond from reactivity and assuming somehow we "know" something we actually do not.

As for opinions: No, I don't believe Rittenhouse is a supporter of BLM. But I will try to find the interview. A true supporter of BLM would not flash

WS signals with Proud Boys in bars, would not run down to Mar a Lago to meet with a racist former POTUS, would not be milking this tragedy days after his acquittal on national TV with Tucker Carlson of "white replacement theory" fame. The game such folks are playing now is: "We are not racist! But also, we actually are!" Therefore, white people can feel comfortable no matter what their conscious leanings. They can claim to not be racist while supporting vicious, cruel and dishonest GQP candidates.
