Interesting how the fossil fuel industry and accompanying Right Wing narrative has switched from "there is no such thing," to ... it is real, but "China!" ... For Pete's sake, we must do all we can and only someone living under a rock at this moment in time could ignore the very real effects of global heating we are all actually experiencing now, faster then most models predicted. In areas of California, you can no longer get fire insurance. Many of us have evacuated our homes, some a few times over now, or had them burned to the ground ... We are looking at extended droughts, plus the loss of 90 percent of our coastal kelp beds (and sea stars). "Exploitable for political advantage" is propaganda. It is awful. All of it has been awful. And, BTW: China still emits less CO2 per capita than we do. Think of how many people live in China. Get real.
