I don’t actually know anyone who thinks the way this writer implies people do. There can certainly be over-sensitivity, and over the topness on the “Left,” and etc. but most of my friends are more likely to downplay racism & patriarchy than up-play it. After four years of an openly white Supremacist & cruel administration, plus a WS-fed assault on our halls of government, I am not clear that providing fodder for those who can’t be bothered to read plainly historical but essential books like Caste, White Rage and The Sum of Us is a terribly good or ethical idea. We need more education now, not brakes on education. IMHO.
