Are you a white person? A white man? I ask because this is relevant to your perspective. It is hard for a white man to understand what it means to have your president, for example — the leader of your entire country — begin to use terms like “Kung flu” as attacks on Asians are rising. This kind of fear is unknown to those who are not targets. As for the other stuff, I know a lot about this, because I have participated in anti-racist education and book clubs, protests, etc. etc. and know many organizers. “Communism” has never been discussed. Why would you assume that?

I have to run now but I would say overall, don’t believe the hype. This is important work, as far as I’m concerned, because we have a tremendous amount of racism in this country. This is what fueled the rise of Trump in large part.
